Beater Blade for KitchenAid stand mixer

October 2012 update:

It’s been almost 3 years since I’ve bought my Beater Blade.  It’s been used in hundreds of recipes.  Probably 75% of the time I made something with my KitchenAid, the Beater Blade gets used.  Never had a single problem with it, and it works as well today as it did the day I took it out of the package.

I read a couple of reviews where it was reported the Beater Blade broke.  Honestly, I have to wonder what they were mixing to break it.  It is made out of plastic, so use some common sense and don’t use it to mix chocolate chip cookie dough!

scraping bowl as necessary” … “scrape the bottom of the bowl” … “Scrape down sides of bowl” … “scraping bowl constantly” … “scrape down the bowl” … “scraping bowl often”

If there is one thing I can’t stand about making cakes and such is the need to scrape the bowl all the time.  Enter the Beater Blade for KitchenAid stand mixers.

After reading a few positive reviews, I took the plunge and ordered one. After it arrived, I quickly put it to the test with a cheesecake recipe (I know, surprising…).

One word: WOW.

While the Beater Blade doesn’t totally eliminate the need for any bowl scraping, it does make cake/batter creations a much easier task.

The only time you need to scrape the bowl is at the end, and that’s for the ring of batter/dough/mix that forms at the very top where the Beater Blade meets the mixing bowl. You can see from the photo below that the Beater Blade has “scraped” down about a 1″ section of the bowl (red line), and is about to “scrape” down another 1″ section of the bowl.

Bottom Line: If you bake a lot and have a KitchenAid stand mixer (they make them for Cuisinart stand mixers too), you need a Beater Blade.

Save yourself the hassle and mess of constantly scraping the bowl of your stand mixer and order a Beater Blade here!
